Christmas 2010

Christmas Eve - We Made Dad go first to open his gift that "His Children" went in on for him this Christmas.   We all wanted to see his reaction so doing it now was the best for most of us to be here in attendance.

Mom Opening her Gift

After Dad has opened his gift from "US" Mom thought for sure that she too was going to be opening a box after a box after a box and was surprised that the gift was truly a dishwasher - Something she has been wanting for the past few years.

To let you know how much she didn't suspect us getting this for her - She was cleaning out from under her sink Just the day before and Allen and Sarah were over and she gave Sarah all her dishwasher soap that had been sitting there for so long because she would probably never have a working dishwasher so why keep the soap - Sarah said she was holding onto it at her house and would just save it for her.

Granny and Papa

    Sitting on Santa's Lap
What do you Want for Christmas?  "Santa asked?"
Granny said she wanted a Sarah Palin Book.
Papa said "nothing"  I have all that I could want.
Then he pointed to all of us - of course a few of us are
not present but we all knew what he meant.

Santa and The Kids!

Every Year at Christmas Eve Santa comes to visit at Granny & Papa's House!
We all get to sit on his lap and tell him what we want for Christmas!
And this year Santa told the kids that he would be having his Elves check their rooms to see if they are clean & if they are not asleep when he fly's over he would not be stopping because he is way too busy.

This is our wonderful family photo. We tried, and tried, and tried and tried to get this good enough. Finally it took a spur of the moment visit from Sabrina's Visiting Teacher to get this right (thanks Sis. Sessions).

Brother of Jared FHE

The Brother of Jared Acted out by the Walker Children!

Thanks to Mom ~ She made plans with another family in the ward that they would also act out a scripture story and make it into a movie ~ Then the next family home evening we would swap movies. At first there were lots of complaining but when all was said and done ~ WE ALL HAD FUN!

Barns FHE - Modern Day Liahona

When we did our FHE about the Brother of Jared last year, the Barns Family did a video of their own. We shared our videos with each other so that we could have a good time learning about the scriptures. Here is the Barns family video. . . . .

The Month of March

Wow, March just slipped by us so quickly ~ We kept ourselves busy with playing with the kids, taking Tyson Jr to see Dr. Wirik, volunteering at the School, visiting the Park, playing at Granny and Papa's house, visiting Grandma and Grandpa Walker, and putting together a family scripture video.

Tyson and Sabrina keep their Saturdays busy with running a Bountiful Basket site in Iona as well as trying to get all the Saturday Chores done and juggling the parenting act!

That is why we are only now at the end of April posting something for March :(

Our Little Red Head. . .

Shirlynn, Our Little Red Head, loves to play dress-up and tells everyone her name is Sue-Sue (middle name Sue and nick-name Shirley Sue).  She loves playing with her big brother and her three sisters but when she has the chance she loves playing with her cousins.  Back in December she turned three and has the attitude to go with it and you add the red hair and you are just asking for trouble.  She is so full of stories and is getting into Barbie this and Barbie that (Barbie dolls, movies, bedding and clothing.)
She is a good big sister to T'Kierra and loves to tote her around.  One day she will be big enough to really play with, but until then Shirlynn is content just playing "Baby" with her.

She Was our First . . .

Syrena, Our Oldest, loves being a tease!  She is full of energy and wants all eyes on her.  She loves making up dances and cheers she loves making crafts and hanging out with her friends.  She can not wait until school gets out for the summer because then she can have more time with friends and less time being couped up in a classroom.

Eating AND Napping, My Favorite Things!

T'Kierra is almost one and has enjoyed being the baby of our family.  She is almost walking, loves getting into all the cupboards and drawers and emptying what she can out onto the floor.  She even enjoys pulling open the oven drawer, climbing into it and just sit there waiting for mom to say "No, No, No. . .  What a fun game!  She Loves to eat in her highchair and even sometimes falls asleep while eating.  We thought this was a cute photo of her so we had to post it.

Making the Choice!

T'leese was baptized by her Father on February 6, 2010 in the Ammon North Stake Center!  She was so excited to be dressed all in white.  She has talked about this day for a long time.  Today was Her day!  She was wanting her Uncle Allen to baptize her but decided that her Dad could do the job. . . then she wanted Uncle Allen to be one of the witnesses but decided that her two Grandpas would be a good choice too.  Uncle Allen had to work and could not attend her baptism.

Big Changes ! ! !

We received our Son's test results back and learned that he has a gluten sensitivity and can no longer have gluten.
Going Gluten-Free is not an easy process due to EVERYTHING having gluten in it.  We have been going through all our food and giving away the things he can't eat. (We thought that maybe we would just feed him gluten free and the rest of us still eat the other foods - but he is so independent and when he is hungry he just gets into whatever is there.  We decided that we would go gluten free as a family so that he can not accidently get into something that could hurt him.)
